IN MOTION is a part of Playgrounds festival - an innovator and connector between makers, industry, education and audience, providing a stable fundament to boost new and relevant developments in the moving image fields of animation, visual effects, digital arts, film and games.
For the 2024 edition in Rotterdam, they teamed up with four artists to create vibrant posters for the event. This is when the organizers contacted me to with an open brief to create an artwork for the event.

The poster is inspired by moth species Hermiceratoides hieroglyphics, which feeds itself on sleeping bird's tears. To me, this represents how some can feed themselves on the insecurities of another and the uneven power dynamics within the creative industry.
